Sorry, I've been sick as well as fending off Deadspin groupies...glad to be back.
First of three rapid fire posts. Shadley and Hadley saw Hustle & Flow this weekend. Tremendous job by Terrence Howard. Really solid work all around, he gets you in his corner despite being a woman-abusing bad MF....anyway, the Oscar-winning song, It's Hard Out Here For a Pimp has a shining moment in the movie. When they lay that track down, it's one of those movie scenes you'll never forget.
After the movie, I immediately went to download that track from ITunes, only to find that they refuse to sell that single song. You must buy the album to get that song. Listen ITunes and record labels and listen closely: you have started to pull people away from pirating music with a nifty, user-friendly site. Don't pull this crap with us. I'm not buying the whole Hustle & Flow soundtrack. So here's what I'll do: I'll a) borrow it from someone at work or b)take it out of the library and burn it. We'll find a way to beat the system if you abuse it.
